uncertain possibility. 6. a condition, requirement, or stipulation.

PAGE 2 / INTRODUCTION

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,

If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too;

INTRODUCTION / PAGE 3

ADMINISTRATORS

Mr. Lee Scarborough

If I had a chance to do it all over again ... I would.

PAGE 4 / ADMINISTRATION

Mr. Donald Peccia

"If they only knew "

Mr. George McGovern

"If wishes were horses, beggars would ride."

ADMINISTRATION / PAGE 5

Hi

I'm so glamorous. _ *J

If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,

Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look to good nor talk to wise;

PAGE 6 / STUDENTS

Rock-a-bye baby. I got an "A" on cutting circles.

If you can dream and not make dreams your master,
If you can think, and not make thoughts your aim,

If you can meet with triumph and disaster,
And treat those two imposters just the same;

STUDENTS / PAGE 7

HALLOWEEN IN THE CAFETERIA

Mrs. Gray and the cafeteria staff.

Double double toil and trouble.

If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken,
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,

Or watch the things you've gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build'em up with worn-out tools;

PAGE 8 / CAFETERIA STAFF

What a hair raising experience!

If you can make one heap of all your winnings,
And risk, it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,

And lose, and start again at your beginnings,
And never breathe a word about your loss;

STUDENTS / PAGE 9

V

Get off my back man!

I love, I love those seahawks.

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,

And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the will which says to them: "Hold on!

Home Economics: Student- Parent Debate

Other students and parents look on.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings — nor lose the common touch,

If neither foe nor loving friend can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much,

STUDENT-PARENT DEBATE / PAGE 11

If you can fill the unforgiving minute

With sixty seconds worth of distance run,

Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,

And — which is more — you'll be a Man, my Son!

Rudyard Kipling

Field Hockey
I am gathering up my body,
Today is a special day.
In which I need every part
For Field Hockey.

First I will need my brain,

For the knowledge of the game.

Then I will need my eyes,

For seeing the balls and players.

My hands and arms,

Will grasp the stick and swing.

My legs those underlying limbs which support

me,

Will run as they have never run before.

After the day is over

My parts will disassemble

To a corner and dream of their

Victories of the day.

Carter Chaffin

The Lynnhaven Boat Works Department of Pitts & Sons, Inc., is now
organized to do any and all repairs and improvements on wood, fiberglass and
metal hull boats.

1. Haul, clean and paint the bottom, a job that needs to be done every year.

2. Caulking — a few places requiring work occur every year, and if taken care
of, prevent future problems.

3. Repair woodwork to make sure that all timbers are sound and that rot does
not become e|^ensive.

4. Repair shaft, strut, propeller, rudder, stugging box, bearings, or wheel.

5. Repair electrical systems and safety equipment.

6. Refurbish or replace canvas deckings as needed.

7. Repair pumps, fans and ventilation systems.

8. Clean and paint bilges; inspect and clean tanks.

9. Examine hardware and fastenings, exterior and interior, and repair or
replace as required.

10. Repair engines; overhaul as needed, or full replacement.

11. New woodworking improvements, exterior or interior.

Pitts & Sons can handle any boat from a dinghy to 50 feet in length. Taxi
service is available if needed.
